We are a PDSA Pet Aid practice, which means we supply PDSA treatments to the pets of owners who are eligible.
Very important - you must be registered on the scheme before the PDSA treatment is supplied. If you are not registered, you are not eligible, and you must pay for your treatment, until you are registered. In a small number of extremely urgent cases, you may be eligible for a one off (one time only) extra payment, but this will in all likelhood not cover the cost of all the treatment.
The scheme only covers sickness and injury, so it doesn't include preventative treatments, like vaccination, or flea treatments.
Owners are asked to make a donation for their pet's treatment at the time.
Only people in post code areas LA1, LA2, LA3, LA4, LA5 and LA6 are eligible, and if you are in receipt of certain benifits - housing benefit, or council tax benefit.
To apply get a form from one of the surgeries. Applications need to be accompanied by proof of benefit, and a £5 postal order.
We strongly advise you to register BEFORE your pet needs treatment, rather than waiting until something happens, and finding out your treatment options are severely limited.
For more information, contact the surgery, or go to the PDSA site.
