New anaesthetic

Posted at 03:03 PM on September 07, 2009

We have upgraded our anaesthesia to use Sevoflo (Sevoflourane). This is currently the safest anaesthetic agent available on the market. It is the same anaesthetic used in paediatric surgery and open heart surgery in humans. Recovery from the anaesthetic is remarkable - from fully asleep to wide awake within 5 minutes, with much less of the grogginess seen with our prevous anaesthetic agents.

We've just added interest free credit to our list of services. This will allow clients to spread the cost of paying for treatment, and should allow us to provide an even greater range of services.

Ricardo's settling in very nicely, and has become a valued member of the team.

We will be opening a new on line shop soon, once I've crossed the t s and dotted the i s,

New surgery hour and a half

Posted at 08:24 AM on June 24, 2008
We have started another surgery hour and a half on Tuesday afternoon, from 2.00 to 3.30, it's been going for a couple of weeks, and has already proved to be popular.

Wednesday afternoon - we're saving for something special - watch this space.

Kelly, our Head Nurse, will be starting geriatric wellness clinics at our Carnforth Branch - see the main page for details.

1st week at Highfield

Posted at 11:00 AM on December 14, 2007
Well, we've been at Highfield for a week now, and so far it seems to have been fairly well received, with few teething troubles. Of course there's always the inevitable no space for anything, and how on earth did we fit everything in at Chatsworth Road, but its really incredible how much junk we've accumulated over the years.

Some you may have noticed a new face at Morecambe as well - we're employing a part timer, Nichola (another one!), we've yet to finalise exactly where we will be placing her.Give her a warm welcome!

Date for starting at the new premises

Posted at 11:39 AM on November 23, 2007
We have a definite date for moving into our new premises - Monday December the 10th. Its really easy to find, behind Upstairs Downstairs off the prom - look for the little alley off Highfield Crescent, just beside the cafe.

Helen leaving

Posted at 10:10 AM on November 01, 2007
After joing us last Summer, Helen has decided to move on to pastures new.

Helen was a new graduate, who quickly integrated into the practice team becoming a valued member, and bringing a breath of fresh air to the practice.

She was liked and respected by all the clients she dealt with, and we know she will be missed by them.

She is doing a spot of nationwide locuming, before jetting off to the far east, to neuter wayward dogs and cats.

We wish her all the best in her future carreer.

Moving in Morecambe

Posted at 08:19 PM on September 13, 2007
As some of you may or may not know, we are having to move from Chatsworth Road in Morecambe because of the Morecambe Regeneration Project. Currently we are renovating another building - after a few delays it has reached the plastering stage, so once that has dried the decorating can start. All being well, with no further mishaps, we should be moving in there in a few months (fingers crossed)

New site created

Posted at 02:39 PM on September 11, 2007
The site has been moved, and revamped, to new location - Freewebs. Hopefully this will mean more uptime for the site, and enable me to update it on a more regular basis.
Cheers for now.

Chris
